U.S Ford GPW VEP March 1942 4xxx

For sale is this really nice and early Ford GPW VEP (very early production), made in March 1942.

This Ford GPW is a very early production model, built with a Willys chassis, but with the Ford GPW chassis number pressed into the chassis instead of a normal Willys type plate at the left front of t he chassis.

As you can also see, the chassis is Willys, which means it has the round frame bar in front of the radiator instead of the ‘normal’ square frame bar produced by Ford.

This jeep was completely restored and has only been driven 700 miles so far.
A lot of New old stock items have been used for this rebuild.

The body is a very good replica script body, but the window frame is original, including the rifle holder.

The engine, gearbox, and transfer case are all Ford GPW made.
The engine is unmarked and is a motor pool replacement, which was probably done in the field.
The Ford GPW casting number is visible on the engine; see the pictures.
The engine was completely rebuilt and has only been driven 700 miles so far and runs very smoothly.

If you are looking for a very early Ford GPW, this is the jeep you are looking for!

A perfect eye-catcher for the next 80 years of liberation tours in 2024!
