Original wartime-built U.S. Piper Cub (L-4 type), used for reconnaissance missions over Europe during World War II.
According to available documentation, this specific Piper is believed to have been delivered to the U.S. 8th Armored Division in 1944 and operated under the U.S. 9th Army between 11 December 1944 and 6 November 1946.
After 1946, the aircraft was sold to the Belgian Air Force and later privately owned in the Netherlands, where it carried the civil registration PH-NLA.
The aircraft retains a complete cockpit layout, including original-style instrumentation, and the main wings are present.
Overall condition is fair, but the aircraft will require additional work to reach museum-display standard.
The aircraft is offered without any flight or maintenance documentation and is sold strictly for static display purposes only. It is not airworthy.
