German VW KdF Type 82 'Kubelwagen ' March 1945

Volkswagen KdF Type 82 Kübelwagen – March 1945

An iconic piece of WWII history looking for a new home, we are selling due the fact of study and travel plans for the next year. Comes from own collection , was not the intention to sale her.
This Volkswagen KdF Type 82 Kübelwagen, built March 1945 in Wolfsburg, is one of the last examples of Germany’s legendary military light utility vehicle.

Body number – 1004xx
Engine number -1- 0674xxx-

The Kübelwagen (Type 82), designed by Ferdinand Porsche and Volkswagen for the Wehrmacht, was Germany’s answer to the Jeep — lightweight, air-cooled, easy to service, and surprisingly capable off-road thanks to its clever suspension and low weight.

  • Built: March 1945, Wolfsburg
  • Engine: Post-war VW Beetle Type 1 flat-four (approx. 25–30 HP) , Aircooled, runs very nice.
  • Weight: ~725 kg (unloaded)
  • Top speed: ~80 km/h (50 mph)
  • Drive: Rear-wheel drive, with portal axles and locking rear differential
  • Canvas roof: Correct canvas included, not seen at the pictures.
  • New correct seats, need to be added to the kubel, now laying in without installation.
  • Condition: Body is solid and original late-war, chassis post war, . Runs and drives great, just had maintenance at the differential, torsionbars, complete new wiring harness, lights and brakes.
but needs finishing touches to complete and detail it properly.

A great vehicles for someone who values originality and wants a historic vehicle ready to show with just a little more detailing.

This is an increasingly rare opportunity to own an authentic late-war Kübelwagen — a centerpiece for any collection or reenactment group.
