Really nice M40 stahlhelm with the marking NS62 which indicates it is made by ‘Vereinigte Deutsche Nickelwerke AG’ in Schwerte.
The helmet is named (Mánning) and was sent home by an Allied veteran from the Südfront in Italy.
The liner has some spots with blood indicating what most probably a K.I.A helmet. Super nice helmet in great condition, if only this helmet could talk!
