U.S WW2 Flashlight TL-122B

Here we have a U.S WW2 Flashlight this was the most widely used torch issued to U.S troops during WW2. The body is made of plastic instead of metal to help the war effort, manufacturer was Bright Star. This plastic torch is also more reliable than earlier metal version’s. The clip on the back allows it to be clipped onto your webbing and the right angle designed lets the light shine in front of you. This TL-122B Flashlight has an extended base that would contain lens filters in blue/red/clear plus spare bulb. This was the First plastic flashlight, issued September 1943, OD color (photo, left). Problems with early plastic formulation that smelled bad and had a waxy compound on the surface. Made by USA-LITE.
