Here we have a U.S WW2 multi-purpose backpack frame. Created for carrying items such as radios, artillery rounds, ammo boxes etc. The main body was built of a fiber-board and it came equipped with multiple metal hooks on the sides plus several openings on the back. This design afforded the flexibility to attach items in different ways that were convenient at the time. The back shows a rectangular canvis section with multiple metal eyelets through which string is ran and woven onto the board itself, this feature provided some shock absorption and comfort to the soldier who was wearing the frame.

The upper section of the pack is black ink stamped with the manufacturer’s maker and date (1944). Canvas shoulder straps are provided.

The markings read as follows:

American Seating Co.
O.I. 7825-4X-C
3-7-44

Would look great on a mannequin display, is in used but super condition!

Please note ammunition boxes are NOT included, for display purposes only!
