Here we have a unique uniform grouping belonging to U.S Staff Sergeant (with two service stripes) P.Ruble whose Military career included war in the Pacific right through to Korea. Service dress is the 1945 U.S pattern, probably re-issued in 1950. Included in this group is his Service dress uniform, trousers and Hat (and water resistant cap) plus his period made photo and post-war civilian photo. All in very good condition!

Staff Sergeant Ruble fought in WW2 with the Sixth Division (Red Star or Sight Seeing Sixth) against The Japanese in Dutch New Guinea. After these battles they fought with the assault at Sansapor and later at Luzon in The Phillipines later taking part in the battle for Manilla. After The War the division moved to Korea and controlled the southern zone until inactivated. Later serving with The U.S 8th Army and stationed in Korea.

Ruble’s WW2 service awards incuded: The Army combat Infantry badge, The Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Army good conduct medal, The American campaign, Asiatic-Pacific with one battle star, WW2 Victory medal. In Korea he was awarded The National Defence medal, Korean Service, and UN Service medal.

This WW2 and Korea veteran has obviously seen much service and participated in some battles along the way. This is a super grouping belonging to a true veteran and we are proud to be able to offer this set! Grouping came direct from The U.S, unfortunately not much more information about the Veteran is known although this could be a nice project for the right collector.

Super U.S Veteran grouping.
