Here we have a German WW2 Field Compass (Meldekartentasche Feldmarsch Umfang) complete with its lanyard. Black bakelite and painted alloy construction compass has a fold back hinged lid. The lid opens to reveal an attached polished non-ferrus mirror. The mirror reflects the compass bearing and the desired march direction, when the compass is pointed in a desired direction of march or movement. The side edge of the compass has a fifty millimeter ruler with impressed markings. There is a three digit manufacturers code; “cxn”, molded on the case front above the ruler scale. It represents the firm; Emil Busch A-G, Optische Industrie / Rathenow. The compass is complete and functional. In very good plus condition. Has a cord attached and is a very nice example of a German WW2 Marching Compass.
