Here we have a lovely and original German WW2 BDM (Bund Deutcher Mädel) Company pennant. Overall condition is very good, with some light age toning, small damge to the red cloth near the middle hook, hardly noticable. Still has its 3 snap hooks intact and the colours are still quite vibrant, and this really is a great example. Pennant belonged to the 6th Company of the 244th Regiment (Madelgruppe 24, im Untergau nr.244).

In 1930 the Bund Deutscher Mädel (German League of Girls) was formed as the female branch of the Hitler Youth movement. It was set up under the direction of Hitler Youth leader, Baldur von Schirach. There were two general age groups: the Jungmädel, from ten to fourteen years of age, and older girls from fifteen to twenty-one years of age.

Nice and not often seen BDM Pennant!
